Here is my imagination of fall in Houston:
A crisp morning that makes you walk a little faster.
Beautiful, clear, blue skies.
A fabulous feeling inside knowing the dog days of summer are over.
Happines at wearing new fall-colored clothes.
Warm, cozy dinners like a casserole, meatloaf, or roast.
Beginning to prepare for the holidays by making lists and scheduling events.
Am I a little homesick? Not too bad. What is making me homesick? Everyone on Facebook talking about the cooler weather. The temperatures are still over 100 degrees here, but the mornings are cooler. My consolation is that after Christmas when the miserable cold sets in in Houston, I'll have beautiful springy weather in Dubai. Enjoy the fall!

sister, don't you worry about fall. people are acting like it is winter here! wearing their uggs and puffy jackets. I don't pull those out until we are in the 40's and lower. it's only high 50's to low 60's here.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have the beautiful weather today. It hasn't been this cool in the morning since May 5th! You are right. When it is the dead of winter here, you will have spring like weather there and we will be jealous!
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about this nice weather. I love my warm weather, and this 70 degrees stuff reminds me that miserable temps are approaching, and will linger far longer than they should! That's part of why I wanted to visit you in Feb/Mar because by then I'll be needing the beautiful Dubai temps!
