Do you need to potty? Do you need to potty? Are you sure? Let's try to potty. Pee pee on the potty and you can have some candy. You can have a new stroller if you use the potty.
Finally the potty language and bribery sunk into Sophie's brain because today was a big day for her. She wore panties all day even to ballet, the pharamacy, the cleaners, and the grocery store. She was so excited about finally getting to wear them outside of the house. Tomorrow she is going to school wearing her panties and hopefully she will do well for her teacher, Ms. Frances.
Sophie's school puts forth a really good effort to help with potty training the kids because they have to be trained for the next grade level before school starts in the fall. The kids that want to use the toilet are sent every 20 minutes, so hopefully Sophie will be successful with that. I've packed 3 changes of clothes in case she isn't! Tomorrow is also picture day for her, so I also packed an extra picture day outfit just in case.
Yes, Andy and I are very excited about this development, but it is also bittersweet because for the first time in 5 1/2 years I'll have no diapers to change. I'll have no "baby" anymore. I'll have to make sure I still baby her, and tell her she's my baby. Then again, I still tell Boston and Olivia they are my babies!
